Do not hold Chinese nationality
Bachelor: have a high school diploma and be under 25
Master: have a Bachelor's degree and be under 35
PhD: have a Master's degree and be under 40
Bachelor: take the CSCA test and attach the result (since the 2026 intake)
HSK 4 Chinese level for a Master's or PhD taught in Chinese

Get the university's prior agreement (pre-admission letter)
Fill in the online application on the Chinese government scholarship system
Submit the file to the Chinese embassy in your country
Wait for the answer, then receive the admission notice and the JW201 form for your visa
