Stipendium Hungaricum requirements: nomination and entrance exam
You must be nominated by the partner body of your country, such as an embassy or ministry, and score at least 56 out of 100 in the entrance exam. You can choose only 2 programmes, among more than 900 programmes at 30 universities.
Nomination
Your country's responsible authority must nominate you. For the 2026/27 call, the nomination had to be done by the end of February. Programmes available to you depend on your country's agreement with Hungary, so check the list of partner countries first.
Exam and choices
The entrance exams for the 2026/27 call were held from March to May 2026. You need at least 56 out of 100 to be considered for the final list of awardees.
You register on the online system and pick your programmes through the Study Finder.
Dates
The 2026/27 deadline was 15 January 2026 at 2:00 PM CET. The 2027/28 call is not published on the pages we checked. Compare the Türkiye Burslari requirements if you want a second option.
