Khalifa University PhD scholarship stipend: what the official page says
On the research path at level I, Khalifa University pays a base stipend of AED 20,000 per month, plus an additional AED 20,000 per month that is subject to approval. Lower levels offer less, and there is no separate scholarship application.
Stipend by level
The page lists four award levels for international PhD students on the research path. Level I has the AED 20,000 base plus the additional allowance. Level II has the same base plus an additional AED 10,000. Level III has AED 20,000 and no additional allowance. Level IV has no monthly stipend, only a tuition waiver and other benefits.
How you get it
You do not fill in a separate form. The university assesses you when you apply for admission, and the number of places is limited. Meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee an award, and the university reviews it every year.
Benefits can change, so read the page again before you apply.
The condition on the research path
On the research path you must work for the university, or a body it chooses, for a period equal to your studies. The page also describes a study path without this duty, with smaller monthly amounts.
For a Qatar option, compare the Hamad Bin Khalifa University PhD funding.
